3-year extended cover

Important: this 3-year extended cover is a voluntary additional benefit from School of Espresso. It is separate from, and does not affect, your statutory rights against us as the retailer.

1. About this extended cover

This extended cover applies only to selected new Sage coffee machines purchased directly from School of Espresso for private household use in the United Kingdom. It provides three years of cover from the original purchase date: Sage’s manufacturer’s warranty applies for the first two years, followed by School of Espresso’s Workshop Warranty in year three.

The specific product page and your order confirmation identify whether a machine is eligible.

2. What is covered in year three

During the third year, eligible machines are covered by our Workshop Warranty for qualifying defects or faults arising during normal, intended domestic use. Repairs are assessed and carried out through School of Espresso by our experienced coffee-machine repair team, who also operate our specialist sister company, Fix My Coffee Machine.

Under the Workshop Warranty, we waive the workshop labour charge for diagnosis and repair, up to two hours of workshop labour in total across the entire third-year cover period.

3. Parts, delivery and additional work

  • Replacement parts and consumables: may be chargeable. We will provide a quote and obtain your approval before fitting chargeable parts.
  • Getting the machine to us: you arrange and pay for delivery to our workshop, following our return instructions.
  • Return to you: once approved repair work is complete, we arrange and pay for UK return postage.
  • Labour beyond the allowance: if a repair needs more than the two-hour total allowance, we will quote before continuing.

4. Who is covered

This extended cover is provided only to the original end consumer named on the School of Espresso order. It is non-transferable and does not apply to a later owner, purchaser, recipient or any machine resold, gifted or otherwise transferred after the original purchase.

5. What is not covered

This voluntary cover does not include:

  • normal wear and tear, cosmetic marks, consumable or removable parts;
  • accidental damage, misuse, neglect, use outside the product’s intended purpose, or commercial use;
  • damage caused by inadequate cleaning, maintenance, descaling, water filtration or water-hardness management where required by the user manual;
  • damage caused by unsuitable cleaning products, incorrect electrical supply, power surges, installation issues or external causes;
  • machines or parts modified, altered or repaired by an unauthorised third party; or
  • machines with removed, altered or unreadable serial numbers.

6. Parts availability and repairs that cannot be completed

Some replacement parts may no longer be commercially available. Where practical, we may explore whether a component can be repaired. If suitable parts are unavailable, or a safe and technically viable repair cannot reasonably be completed, we will explain this to you and return your machine.

This extended cover does not include a replacement machine, cash alternative, credit, refund or contribution towards a replacement.

7. How to make a claim

Contact School of Espresso before sending your machine, with your order details, product model and a description of the issue. We will confirm the next step and any packaging or return instructions. Machines sent without prior agreement may be refused. You are responsible for safe, suitable packaging when arranging delivery to us.

8. Legal rights

Nothing in this extended cover limits or excludes rights that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded. This cover does not affect your statutory rights, including any rights you may have if goods were faulty when supplied. For independent guidance, see GOV.UK consumer rights guidance.

These terms apply to purchases made on or after 12 August 2026. School of Espresso may amend the terms for future purchases; the version available when you place your order applies to that purchase.
